The Role:
This is a hands-on, field-based role where no two days are the same.
You’ll be trusted to manage your own jobs across Wellington City and the wider region — solving problems, delivering quality work, and building strong client relationships along the way.
What you’ll be doing:
Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing automated door systems
- Installing and maintaining mechanical and electrical components
- Fault-finding and problem-solving in real time
- Communicating directly with clients and providing practical solutions
- Managing your workflow independently while staying connected to the team
Who This Role Is Perfect For:
This is not an entry-level position. This suits someone experienced, capable, and ready to take ownership.
You’ll likely have:
- Several years in a mechanical, electrical, or service-based trade
- Strong fault-finding ability (electrical experience is a big plus)
- An electrical licence (or working towards one) – highly advantageous
- The ability to work independently and think on your feet
- Solid knowledge of the Wellington City and surrounding regions
- A professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach
- A flexible, professional approach to travel, overtime, and on-call work (including after-hours and weekends as required)
- Full NZ Class 1 driver licence
