Our sister company VIP Trade is a trusted leader in the building, construction, and trade industries for well over 40 years in Christchurch. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Timber Yard person to become an integral part of our team.

Your new position:
In this full-time temp position, you’ll play a key role in the efficient operation of the timber yard. You’ll be responsible for loading and unloading building materials, operating a forklift, and ensuring the yard remains tidy and well-organised. If you’re proactive, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you!
- Manual unloading and loading of building materials
- Forklift operation – Pick packing orders for customers
- Work alongside retail/dispatch teams
- Keeping the yard clean and tidy
We are looking for:
- Current OSH – F endorsed a must have
- Previous experience in a timber yard (not essential)
- Able to work outdoors (rain/hail/shine) and stand for long periods
- Physically fit – lifting different lengths of timber
- Good numerical skills – understand metric/length/pieces for orders
