Description:
Our client is seeking a talented Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join their dynamic software team. As a leading provider of connected technology solutions that enhance personal safety, we’re looking for an experienced professional who can help us strengthen the cloud and security engineering capabilities. This is a full-time, onsite 6-month contract role with the potential to become permanent, offering a competitive salary range of NZD130,000 to NZD160,000 based off experience.
– Lead the evolution of our Azure platform, improving security and operational maturity- Embed DevSecOps practices across our software function, ensuring security is a core part of their delivery. Drive improvements in platform observability, resilience, and cost-effectiveness.
Preferred Requirements:
- Own and evolve our Azure application platform, including core environment standards, networking, and secure cloud foundations
- Lead the uplift of our DevSecOps capability, embedding security into delivery practices
- Build and improve infrastructure as code and environment consistency across development, test, and production
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, with appropriate quality gates, approvals, and automation
- Implement and strengthen cloud security controls, including identity and access management, secrets handling, network segmentation, and policy enforcement
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven senior experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, cloud platform engineering, or a closely related role
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure in production environments
- Ability to lead technical reviews, set practical standards, and influence engineering approaches across a development team
