The Role
You’ll be responsible for the servicing, inspection, repair and preventative maintenance of fuel tankers and associated fuel equipment. This includes diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, completing compliance checks, and making sure all work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
You’ll work closely with the team to keep vehicles and equipment operating reliably, support compliance requirements, and ensure customers receive a professional and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, overhaul and repair fuel tankers and associated fuel equipment.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and compliance inspections.
- Diagnose and repair faults across hydraulic, pneumatic, pumping and fuel delivery systems.
- Troubleshoot valves, hoses, meters and related tanker equipment.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and build strong client relationships.
- Accurately record time, attendance and daily work records.
- Support workshop stock control and work with the inventory team.
- Ensure all work complies with company policies and health and safety requirements.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a mechanical service or specialist fuel equipment environment.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, pumping and fuel delivery systems.
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
